Tissue Box Dragon/Shark Tutorial

It’s the Winter holidays in South Africa and thinking of ways to keep the kiddies busy and happy can sometimes be hard.

If I can describe Winter into words its Cold and Snotty Noses. The sniffles can be exhausting to listen to let alone have.

Solution:

A fun way for the kids to get enthusiastic about blowing their noses.

An arts and Craft for the Holiday

A keepsake for their bedside

Materials Needed:

  • Box of Tissues (I went with the cube shape only because it was on sale)
  • Wrapping paper – Enough to wrap the entire box of tissues
  • Tape
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Cardboard
  • Googly Eyes
  • Black Marker – optional
  • Pipe Cleaners and Feathers  – Optional if doing another character
  • Template – see below – PDF to follow soon

We did sharks and dragons (picture above of a template  for dragon)

I cut out the pieces for the body for the smaller kids but for the older kids they got to cut their own.

We then began to stick our body parts onto the wrapped tissue box.

We go a little more creative with one as you can see. Your imagination can run wild with any sort of animal/monster etc… we attempted a Peacock with gorgeous colorful feathers.

This is all our tissue boxes all together ……I’m very proud they did such a great job!
